Musical Director

In my time at SUNY New Paltz, I was Musical Director of an all-male A Cappella group. I was democratically elected by the rest of the group, and I was responsible for scheduling and conducting rehearsals, composing the arrangements for us to sing, and coordinating events around campus and off-campus. In this challenging role, I honed my leadership abilities in a group environment while constantly working to better myself and the rest of the group through carefully selected warm-ups, exercises, and self-critique while making sure the group was wholly involved in the decision making process every step of the way.

I also set a camera up to record all of our major performances. This brought us recognition from people outside of New Paltz, as well as allowing us to critique and evaluate ourselves during rehearsal to better our sound.  Check out some of my work.
